The West link, a stretch of dual carriageway linking the M1 and M2 motorways
runs through the centre of Belfast. As well as providing a junction between two
main motorways it also serves to physically and conceptually sever Republican
West Belfast from the City centre.

The Westlink is one of a series of models, all based on existing
structures in Belfast serve to donate collectively how infrastructure
and the built environment serve to delineate and even dictate a cities
political dynamic on a local scale.
